Stackable Extended Attributes

Extended Attributes (EAs) allow arbitrary meta-data to be attached to a file, but presently this requires that each file system implement them, which may not be practical. Stackable file systems offer a way to provide EAs on any file system, without modifying on-disk structures or network protocols. This project investigaes how to use existing EAs and augment them so a to provide a uniform API to EAs for kernel software and user applications.
